A symposium is arranged on 7-8 October 2008 by Selçuk Municipality in terms of promotion and protection of the cultural and historical values of the Anatolian Seljuk cities in our country.Alanya Castle is told in the symposium which named “Anatolian Seljuk Cities and Civilizations” as a first candidate in temporary UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Lİst of our country.
Alanya Mayor told the city which succeeded to protect its original Anatolian Seljuk identity till today,its historical structure,cultural heritage and the prformance implemented by Alanya Municipality until today.
Besides Alanya Mayor;mayors of Konya Selçuk,Kayseri,Niksar,Konya Büyükşehir and Amasya Municipalities made some presentations about their cities.Some academics who are studying on Seljuk Works in Anatolia also lighted the way for Seljuk History by making presentations.
