The chairman of Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation Faik Kaptanoglu explained that the economic crisis would not effect the Turkish Tourism negatively as thought.He recorded that there had been an increase in the number of incoming tourists from Germany.
Faik Kaptanoğlu who told about the interest shown to Alanya stand which was opened in ITB Berlin Exhibition continued;
”We realized that people are very much interested in Turkey Stand especially Side and Alanya. The materials which are sent for the exhibition were very much liked.We had opportunity to negotiate with all the tour operators at the fair.The result was an increase of 8% at the German tourists coming to Turkey.It was a very positive development for us.Besides that,German tourists are going to visit 25% less Spain,40% less Egypt and TUNUS.Global economic Crisis effected many countries in Tourism.As far as we have seen,Turkey is one of the less effected countries from the crisis.We hope that Turkey will be the most profitable country during the crisis.”
Kaptanoglu told that the reason of that would be the suitable prices of Turkey comparing to other countries,the increase in the currency and the increasing purchasing power of European Tourist.He added by saying ” Some factors which highlights Turkey are the quick movement of Turkish tourism experts and the high quality of hotels in Turkey”
Kaptanoglu stated that the sales of Oger Tour was especially very effective in this region.He said ”Oger Tour published a catalogue for a destination for the first time.The attempts of our foundation and Alanya Mayor hasan Sipahioğlu played an important role for the catalogue.It seems that the highest reservation increase of Oger Tour with 8% will be implemented in Alanya by the courtesy of this catalogue which was published 50 thousands.”
THE INTERESTS OF RUSSIANS WILL CONTINUE..
Kaptanoglu stated that besides German Tourists,Russian Tourists have e big interest to Alanya and Turkey and the experiences in the first day of Moscow Exhibition proved this interest.
He told that they prepared some materials for the kids for the first time.The painting pencils and the jigsaw puzzles were about to finish at the first day.
He added that Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation participated to 24 fairs and opened stands.He mentioned that they were very careful when choosing where to go and where to open stands.
